Usage of Tener in the Future Tense
Tener generally means “to have”, but has several different meanings in the Future Tense, some of which might surprise you.
To have/possess: For example, Tendré un nuevo coche el año que viene. (I will have a new car next year.)
To experience: For example, Tendré mucho trabajo la semana próxima. (I will have a lot of work next week.)
To be obligated: For example, Tendré que estudiar más para aprobar el examen. (I will have to study more to pass the exam.)
