Figurative meaning: To build or develop something abstract like a relationship, career or idea, for example, Construiremos un futuro mejor para nuestros hijos. (We will build a better future for our children.)

Colloquial meaning: In some Latin American slang, it can mean to deceive or trick someone, for example, No te construiré con esa mentira. (I won’t let you trick me with that lie.)

Vulgar meaning: In very informal contexts, it can crudely refer to having sex, for example, Te construiré esta noche, bebé. (I’ll bang you tonight, baby.) This usage is considered extremely rude.
