Deber Future Tense in Castilian Spanish

The Future Tense of deber is used to express an obligation, duty or probability that will occur in the future. For example, Deberé estudiar más para aprobar el examen. (I will have to study more to pass the exam.)

Deber is a regular -er verb, so its Future Tense conjugations follow the regular pattern by dropping the infinitive ending and adding the corresponding future tense endings.

Usage of Deber in the Future Tense

Deber generally means “to owe” or “must”, but has several different meanings in the Future Tense, some of which might surprise you.
