To gossip (colloquial): To engage in idle talk or rumors about others in the future, for example, ¿Hablarán de mí en la fiesta? (Will they gossip about me at the party?)

To speak ill of someone (rude): To say negative or insulting things about someone in the future, for example, Hablarán mal de ti si no te comportas. (They will speak ill of you if you don’t behave.)
