Intentar Subjunctive Mood in Latin American Spanish

The Subjunctive Mood of Intentar is used to express desires, doubts, or uncertainties about attempting something, for example: Intento que me entiendas. (I try for you to understand me.)

Intentar is a regular -ar verb, so its conjugations in the Present Subjunctive follow the regular pattern by dropping the -o from the yo form of the present indicative and adding the corresponding subjunctive endings.
