Parecerse Subjunctive Mood in Castilian Spanish

The presente de subjuntivo of parecerse is used to express desires, doubts, or uncertainty about resembling or being similar to someone or something, for example: Espero que te parezcas a tu padre cuando seas mayor. (I hope you resemble your father when you’re older.)

This verb belongs to the -cer to -zca spelling-changing conjugation type, where the ‘c’ changes to ‘zc’ before the vowel endings.
