The simple future tense of poner is used to talk about actions that will take place in the future. For example, Mañana pondré la mesa para la cena. (Tomorrow I will set the table for dinner.)

Poner is a stem-changing verb, meaning the vowel in the stem changes in certain conjugations. In the simple future tense, the e changes to d in all forms except nosotros and vosotros.
