The Present Subjunctive of Producir is used to express desires, doubts, or uncertainties about producing something, as well as in certain dependent clauses. For example, Es importante que produzcas suficientes suministros. (It’s important that you produce enough supplies.)

Producir is a spelling-changing verb that follows the -cir to -zca conjugation pattern in the Present Subjunctive. This means the c changes to zc before the verb endings are added.
