The Future Tense of Continuar is used to express actions that will continue happening in the future. For example, Continuaré estudiando español. (I will continue studying Spanish.)

Usage of Continuar in the Future Tense

Continuar generally means to continue or carry on, but has several different meanings in the Future Tense, some of which might surprise you.

To continue an action: For example, Continuaré trabajando hasta terminar el proyecto. (I will continue working until I finish the project.)

To remain or stay: For example, Continuaremos en la fiesta hasta la madrugada. (We will stay at the party until dawn.)

To resume or pick up again: For example, Continuaremos la discusión mañana. (We will resume the discussion tomorrow.)
