Ser generally means “to be”, but has several different meanings in the Future Tense, some of which might surprise you.

To exist or be located: for example, Seremos en el parque mañana. (We will be in the park tomorrow.)

To become or happen: for example, Seré un médico cuando crezca. (I will become a doctor when I grow up.)

To belong or be part of: for example, Vosotros seréis del equipo de fútbol. (You all will be part of the soccer team.)

To indicate time: for example, Serán las 3 cuando lleguemos. (It will be 3 o’clock when we arrive.)

To describe characteristics: for example, Ustedes serán los más inteligentes de la clase. (You all will be the smartest in the class.)

Colloquial usage (rude): for example, ¡Serás idiota! (You will be an idiot!)

Dentro de unos años, seremos una familia más grande con la llegada de un nuevo bebé. (In a few years, we will be a bigger family with the arrival of a new baby.)

Cuando se gradúen, ustedes serán los nuevos líderes de nuestra comunidad. (When you graduate, you will be the new leaders of our community.)

Después de las elecciones, ellos serán nuestros nuevos representantes. (After the elections, they will be our new representatives.)
